Painting our giant colouring book with Artist Eliza

The end of the year is approaching, and we are all busy with spring cleaning in the light of welcoming a brand-new year. Some of us have even decided to repaint the walls of our home for a fresher look.  Yes! At Thinking Beyond, we have also plunged into the mission of refurbishing our premises for a new and enlivened look!

The dull, all-white walls of our washroom area have been transformed into a hue of colours creating a carnivalesque atmosphere! The colourful accents add personality to the entire area.

Ms Kathy decided to create a giant colouring book on the walls, highlighting our favourite characters from our classic storybooks. What a brilliant idea!

Together with artist Elisa, Kathy, I and the students of Thinking beyond had a whale of time painting the walls. Pictures and adapted quotes of characters from some of the classics such as ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Wizard of Oz’, ‘The three little pigs’, ‘Pinocchio’ adorn the walls now.

“Love others and be loved by others”

“Courage plenty of courage”

“Happiness is the best thing in the world”

are some examples.

We, teachers at Thinking beyond, strongly feel that our students not only should read these classics but also understand the underlying message and lesson behind them.

Overall, we had a great bonding session with each other and at the same time, learnt some painting techniques and colour coordination from Artist Eliza.
